Life Story Work Training

This course is facilitated by Scott Henery. Scott believes that everyone has the power to redefine themselves. He founded Social Care Training Solutions in 2015 with a mission to teach Social Care practitioners and carers how to use psycho-social interventions to holt the complex cycle of childhood trauma and substance misuse.

Life story work is a therapeutic process that helps children in care understand their past, their experiences, and the journey that lead them to where they are now. It involves creating a visual or written record of their life, often with the help of their foster carers, social workers, and birth families, to help them make sense of their identity, and provide them with the emotional support they need to understand their past in a healthy way, while also looking toward their future!
