Allsorts: Supporting LGBT+ Children & Young People

We will explore some of the issues and challenges experienced by children and young people who are LGBT+ or exploring their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. Together we will examine how these issues may impact their lives and wellbeing.

By the end of the training, participants will have:

• A better understanding of the experiences of LGBT+ people
• More confidence in supporting, and being an ally to, LGBT+ people
• Knowledge about creating more inclusive environments for LGBT+ people

Although trans and gender identity issues will be referred to in this training, it is focussed more broadly on LGBT+ issues. We run a separate training that goes into greater depth on trans and gender identity issues, titled – Supporting Trans Children & Young People.
